Our programs reduce cultural and financial barriers to enjoying snowsports. We provide safe and welcoming spaces for youth and adults to engage with the outdoors, build community and learn new skills.
The experience was extremely well-organized and well-run -- from communication pre-event, to the check-in experience, to the end of day departure logistics. I also appreciated the community that the leaders helped facilitate. Not only is Boardslide's mission awesome, its events are too.

"[My son enjoyed] literally everything about winter camp! It's such an encouraging and positive environment. The staff are very supportive and kind."

"[I enjoyed] the great leadership, help with rentals and gear, being with other queer and trans people in a very new kind of place. The instructors from Tyrol were really helpful and excellent. It was such a good experience in a setting I might not try on my own - and now I can't wait to go back :)

"My kids loved getting to learn how to do something new! This organization, staff and volunteers were kind and inclusive and made my kids feel supported and challenged to push their limits in a safe and caring way. I want all kids who want to try boarding or skiing to be able to experience this.”
Parent of Sonja & Elsa - 22/23 Winter Campers
Pride Ride gave me the confidence to try out a new sport I would otherwise think had too steep a learning curve for me to easily pick up. With excellent coaches and the encouragement of other queer newbie skiers, I (to my surprise) came a long way in a short amount of time and would absolutely go back! I also appreciate Boardslide’s efforts to make the whole skiing experience more financially feasible for all.

“This was an incredible opportunity for children to try a sport they otherwise could not. For my son, who is autistic, trying new activities can be stressful. The volunteers and instructors were very welcoming and friendly! They differentiated instruction to meet children’s needs. My son gained confidence and is proud of his progress. We are very grateful.”
